Warning: Touchy subject

I had ended up going for a poster relating to abortion, and the right for a person to be able to choose if they want one or not. I used a specific factor for this poster which was rape and the possibilities that can happen to a rape victim. I find myself often thinking about this specific factor when abortion is brought up and find that these people who go through such horrible things need this choice for themselves. 

These were my three sketches for getting some ideas for the poster.

This is the result of my self portrait! I took two pictures of it in different lighting since I had lost daylight.

Here they are! I had a fun time doing these. My only thing to note here is that somehow I had mistaken foam boards as the boards we need for class. When I have the time I'm gonna get the proper boards and move these onto there.

Introduction

 Hi there, I'm Shalee (or call me Sha either is fine) and I'm planning on majoring in Art.

I'm really excited to just jump in and see what fun things we will be doing in class and I'm up for trying new things like types of techniques for art!

I've had many experiences with art that mean a lot but one that is even closer to me is beginning to use art as a form of therapy and comfort to me. I had a lot of struggles and hardships in my past and I learned about the use of art as therapy and it has helped me get through some very difficult places in my life.

I prefer to communicate by text like email and so forth, but if needed I can communicate by audio.

This is just the beginning!
